    We all understand that our mental health should not be taken for granted. But do we know the factors that contribute to wellbeing? Join us for this event with Dr. Michael Ungar as he shares the science of resilience and what really works. Dr. Michael Ungar is Director of the Resilience Research Centre at Dalhousie University and a Canada Research Chair in Child, Family and Community Resilience. His new book is called "Change Your World: The Science of Resilience and the True Path to Success".

    One Day. HUGE IMPACT.
    Fitness fun, challenges and great prizes.
    Join us to participate in team fundraising and fitness competitions.
    Prizes will be awarded to the top team and individual fundraisers, as well as throughout the event.
    Funds go towards the Strong Community Campaign supporting the financial assistance program.
    Activities:
    Activities will consist of: cycle fit, group fitness classes, boot camps, circuits, and team challenges.
    Your team will sign up with an open minded to participate in the various activities. These activities will be a surprise to your team until the day of the event. You will participate in activities as a team. All activities are set-up for a team of five.
    How to register:
    Step 1: Find four friends to create a team of 5 people with a goal of raising $750.00
    Step 2: Register your team at the link found on the YMCA Website. Only the team captain is required to register. (Not able to register your team online? Stop by the YMCA and register in-person at Membership Services). As the team Captain, you will be contacted with further information about how and where to pick up your team’s pledge forms and other important information.

    The YMCA of Pictou County is a charity that has been serving kids, youth, families and seniors in our community for more than 50 years. At the YMCA, we believe that everyone (especially kids) should have the chance to be active, healthy and have the same opportunities.

    YMCA financial assistance provides access to activities such as: day camp, swimming lessons, after school programming, karate and so much more.
    Last year, the YMCA of Pictou County provided more than $260, 000 in financially assisted programs and services to people in Pictou County. Currently, 1 in 5 of our members and participants rely on this financial subsidy to take part in our programs and services.

    $95 no tax
    Qualified training for any workptlace or volunteer event.

This event is for an Awesome cause & we hope everyone can make it out to support them :) There will be 50/50 draws, a silent-auction & an incredible line-up of Live entertainment!!! (not in this order) Scott Hill & the Eldorado Band, Billy Bell Band, Fully Completely Hip, Mike & The MacPhersons & Double Jim & Tonic :O This event is for 19yrs/older Gov't ID upon request. There will be a $10 minimum donation at the door (y)
