East River Valley residents talk recreation

Eureka session

Residents of the East River Valley and surrounding areas came out Thursday evening to the Eureka Fire Hall to discuss their needs and wants for recreation and active living in rural Pictou County.  The community session was part of the Municipality of Pictou County's development of a new strategic recreation plan. 

Four more Let's Talk Recreation and Active Living community sessions are planned for the coming weeks, including Dec. 10 at the Little Harbour Community Centre, Dec. 12 at the Merigomish Community  Centre, Dec. 13 at the IOOF Hall in Thorburn and Dec. 18 at the Royal Canadian Legion in River John. 

All ages are welcome to attended the sessions that will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at each location.  Here, in Eureka,  facilitator Frank Gallant, standing, and Municipality of Pictou County Coun. Chester Dewar speak with residents during the session.
