2019 preliminary property assessments available to view online
Property Valuation Services Corporation (PVSC) is encouraging Nova Scotia property owners to review their 2019 preliminary assessment information.
“This is the fifth year we have published preliminary assessment information online, providing property owners with the chance to talk to us before final assessments are mailed in January,” says Carlos Resendes, VP of Business and Innovation Services.
The 2019 property assessments reflect the physical state of the property as of December 1, 2018. Assessors are still reviewing properties and conducting inspections, therefore the information published is subject to change as certain details, such as permits, might not be included in the preliminary assessment.
Property owners can view their assessment at www.pvsc.ca, using the property search feature or individual My Property Report tool.
The My Property Report requires the Assessment Account Number and PIN number, found on their 2018 assessment notice. “We encourage property owners to take advantage of the opportunity to review their property information. If you have questions or would like to discuss your assessment, please contact us,” says Resendes.
PVSC is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at 1-800-380-7775 to provide assistance or set property owners up to speak directly with an assessor who will review their property details, explain the assessment process, and speak to local real estate markets.
